Thomas & Lois Wirkus

Dr. Thomas E. Wirkus, 35 year member of the Department of Speech Communication (presently Communication Studies) and “voice” of the UW-L “Marching Chiefs” and “Screaming Eagles” for twenty-five years (1979-1994). Dr. Wirkus passed away in August 2017.

Mrs. Lois Wirkus, M.S. in College Student Personnel and Academic Assistant to the Dean of the College of Education and primary academic student advisor (1979-1994; certification officer from 1990-1994); “Band Aide” for the UW-L marching band (1979-1994).
