The Linda Host Memorial and David Bange Scholarship Fund for Mathematics & Statistics (Incoming Freshmen)

• Must be an incoming freshman who has been accepted for admission to UW-L no later than April of the calendar year in which he/she shall enter the institution to be enrolled full-time;
• Must be enrolled for the fall semester in a mathematics course at or above the level of calculus, and is considering a major in mathematics, statistics or mathematics education;
• Has demonstrated both talent and interest in mathematics by having an ACT score of 31 or above (on the math portion of the ACT), and active participation in organizations, competitions or summer programs in mathematics, physics, or other physical sciences
• Applicants are encouraged to provide a list of books that he/she has read (other than required classroom reading) and found noteworthy. These books may be fiction or non-fiction.
• Financial need will be considered, but only as a tie-breaker.
