Salt and Light Award for Excellence in Christian Leadership (General)

  • Recipient must be enrolled full time at UW-La Crosse and must be in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.25 or higher;
  • Recipient shall be a sophomore, junior or senior;
  • Financial need may be considered;
  • Recipient demonstrates the values of a Christian leader in their actions. In addition to academic achievement, the recipient has made a positive impact on the community and classmates in a faith-based manner. This could include leading bible studies, large group or small group activities or mentoring fellow classmates. Recipient is affiliated with a Christian organization (such as Campus Crusade, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, Lutheran Campus Ministry, Newman Center, local church groups, etc.)
  • Applicants must provide the names of two faculty or staff that could speak on their behalf regarding their qualifications for this scholarship.
