Thorman Family "Pay It Forward" Scholarship for Physical Therapy
the ideal candidate for this scholarship is a second-year physical therapy student
is a determined, self-starter who demonstrates the ability to overcome adversity
academic challenges: i.e. may have had to work exceptionally hard to obtain satisfactory grades or has made significant academic progress over the course of the program
personal challenges: i.e. may have had overcome health, personal or family-related issues while still successfully meeting the demands of the PT Program
financial challenges: i.e. may be self-supporting their education or has incurred significant financial hardship while in the PT Program
is recognized by academic and clinical faculty as possessing strong character attributes including professional and personal humility, integrity, and maturity
demonstrates strong professional behaviors with emphasis on personal and professional accountability, exceptional commitment to learning, and respectful communication with peers, patients and faculty
is a student member of the APTA
is recognized by academic and clinical faculty as a selfless individual
has demonstrated the value for placing patients’ needs first
has demonstrated the value for selfless service to their community and /or profession
is in good academic standing (3.0 minimum)
Graduate students who are currently enrolled in the DPT program and who are eligible for this scholarship will be auto-matched to this award based on successful completion of general application and DPT conditional application questions
