UWL Pride Center Scholarship for a New/Transfer Student

Established by the Pride Center and Rainbow Unity students in 2010 to assist lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, aromantic, agender, students (LGBTQQIAAA) or students with lesbian, gay bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex or asexual, aromantic, agender (LGBTQQIAAA) family members.
Criteria:
1. Full or Part-time accepted new (first-year) or transfer undergraduate student.
2. Willing to be publicly recognized as a recipient of this award
3. In addition to the regular application, an essay of 300 words or less is required. Please pick one of the following topics for your essay:
a. Describe your demonstrated leadership for, support of, or involvement in organizations, activities, or issues that benefit the LGBTQQIAAA communities.
b. Describe your experience as a member of the LGBTQQIAAA community and your experiences being marginalized. How have those experiences impacted you?
