Department of Mathematics & Statistics Scholarship Fund (CSH)

Required Qualifications:

• Recipient must be an incoming freshman who has been accepted for admissions to UW-L no later than April of the calendar year in which he/she shall enter the institution to be enrolled full time
• Recipient must be enrolled for the fall semester in a mathematics course at or above the level of calculus
• Recipient must have an above average grade point average
• Recipient must show promise in mathematics and have demonstrated an interest and talent in mathematics by:
  (a) scoring in the top 250 students in Wisconsin on the American High School Mathematics Examination (AHSME) or scoring among the top 2% of students taking the MAA Wisconsin Section Exam; or
  (b) scoring 4 or better on the College Board Advanced Placement Calculus Exam or earning college credit with a final grade higher than B in a college mathematics course at or above the level of Calculus; or
