freshman, sophomore, junior or senior resident of La Crosse County or the La Crosse area (i.e., within 100 miles of La Crosse County) to be enrolled full time with any major
must be in good academic standing with at least a 3.0 gpa
financial need should be considered with preference given to someone who is working to pay their own way through college; consideration should be given to other scholarships and resources available to each applicant
preference should be given to a first generation college attendee
preference given to current employees or former employees or descendents of current or former employees in the brewing or baking industry in La Crosse previously or currently owned and operated by G. Heileman Brewing Company, or its succesor, City Brewing Company, or any of their subsidiaries
a previous recipient can re-apply to receive the scholarship again the next year; however, preference would be given go a different recipient
