Barbara Stewart Student Affairs and Diversity and Inclusion Multicultural Student Scholarship

New freshmen award, renewable for up to three years as long as the student remains in good academic standing which is considered to be a 2.0 Grade Point Average.

•admitted Multicultural student (African-American, American Indian or Alaskan Native, Hispanic/Latino/a American, Southeast Asian)
•high school class rank in the top 15 percent
•demonstrated leadership and/or involvement in high school or community (athletic activities can’t be considered)
•for the scholarship to be renewed, recipient will have to demonstrate leadership and/or involvement in college extracurricular activities (recipient will be asked to complete a status update with a staff member in Multicultural Student Services)
•financial need will be considered when awarding scholarships; priority will be given to candidates admitted to UW-L with FAFSA forms on file by March 15; applicants admitted after March 15 will be considered if awards are still available
