Joseph P. Heim - Graduating Seniors and Undergraduate Students

The Joseph P. Heim Graduate and Under graduate Scholarship was established on February 7, 2001, by friends and former students in recognition of Dr. Heim’s guidance and commitment to the pursuit of student excellence in Political Science and Public Administration. Joe’s efforts to create a better student have encouraged many to create a better tomorrow through professional and public service.

Joseph P. Heim was born in 1942 to Henry and Vera Heim in Milwaukee, WI. One sister, Betsy. Joe is married to Patricia Heim.

Education: Bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Marquette University; Ph. D. from UW-Milwaukee. Heim was in the Navy Reserves for 20 years, and was a commanding officer in La Crosse and Madison, doing communications and security.
