Jane (Hayter) Keilt

Through the generosity of the Gerda J Hayter Living Trust, Gerda desired to create two scholarship funds in her daughters’ names, The Jane E (Hayter) Scholarship and the Mary Elizabeth Hayter Scholarship for the outstanding education that they both received at UW-L

Jane (Hayter) Keily received both a B.S. and an M.S. in Physical Education from UW-L. Her education prepared her well to teach physical education for over forty years. Her love of learning encouraged her to
continue to learn, grow and research new and innovative ways to enhance curriculum and ensure lessons were meaningful for her students. The importance of being active and sharing her love of physical education was an integral part of her student’s education. It is our hope that the funds provided will support students in pursuing their dream to be a physical education teacher who supports students in being active for a lifetime.
